Welcome to India with us!

For those who don't know it yet, we have moved permanently in India!! No, just kidding.. We have come here because of Toni's work. It's a secondment of six months, so we'll be there till the end of June: Toni working, me studying (and may be working as well), but both exploring a totally new world!

This blog is written in English, so that everybody could understand something. However, there is an automatic translator on our page, which will give you a funny translation in almost any language.

The English translation for the topic is: "Rupees and paise". In Finnish it's a fun wordplay; rupia means scabs and paiseita abscesses, hihhih.
We'll try to write every week, but let's see..

Enjoy your trip with us,
M&T

Almost ready to go..

Today our luggage was taken away, meaning that our trip is soon to be started..! Only now we're starting to realize that we're really leaving. We have been taking vaccinations more than one can bear (one day I had FIVE!!) and doing lots of leaving preparations, but only now that our home is emptying from clothes etc., we are starting to see ourselves there, far away, in a hot and different country. We're so excited! Toni is also a little bit nervous because he'll be working in a whole different working culture, but I say he'll be just fine!! <3 I am just excited, because (like Toni) I love to travel and see other cultures and ways of life and languages, SLURP. :O) I just hope we'll have enough time to explore EVERYTHING.. Now that I have found my studying material, I'm not sure anymore, if I can do anything else.. There's a lot of it! =P I intend to finish my Finnish studies there (basic studies), so I may start to look for jobs as a Finnish teacher as well, when we're back in Finland. I've had not so much luck with only French as a language to teach. As said in the beginning, Toni's days will be filled with work. Hopefully, in spite of all that, we'll have time to travel as well. When we looked at the map, we saw Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Maldives...!! Sounds good? We think so too! Let's see what will happen.. :OD
