Mom and Johanna, my cousin <3
The first thing to do was to have some fresh mangos at our balcony! (Mom specially scheduled the trip for mango season...)
And then to have some sightseeing. Vidhana Soudha, the seat of the state legislature of Karnataka (our state).
The state library, so cute :)
These fruit booths are so cool. And the fruits so sweet.
And so are some desserts. :oP
One day we visited Bangalore Palace, which used to be the home of the kings. Nowadays it's just a museum.
Some architecture from inside...
The Indian Mona Lisa?
Scary furniture??
Sitting on a Spanish bench (Looks like Gaudi's work, doesn't it?), we barely fit in...
We visited also some poorer areas :(
The fastest cow I have ever seen, you can almost see the speed stripes!
And some more cows among the traffic.
Shopping at Commercial Street, one of the biggest and busiest shopping streets in Bangalore. Here you can really feel (sadly this picture doesn't show it so well) the chaotic intensity of Indian shopping culture.
Still on Commercial street...
Mom had 2 special occasions during her visit here. In addition to Mother's Day, she had also her birthday before returning back home. We surprised her by buying some flowers...
and a MANGO cake of course!! :oP The joke is that the numbers are reversed... ;o)
The last night before their went back home, we went to a local restaurant where you eat from banana leaves...
with your fingers. That's a real Indian experience and we all did well!! (We had to, because there weren't any cutlery around...)
