Welcome to India with us!

For those who don't know it yet, we have moved permanently in India!! No, just kidding.. We have come here because of Toni's work. It's a secondment of six months, so we'll be there till the end of June: Toni working, me studying (and may be working as well), but both exploring a totally new world!

This blog is written in English, so that everybody could understand something. However, there is an automatic translator on our page, which will give you a funny translation in almost any language.

The English translation for the topic is: "Rupees and paise". In Finnish it's a fun wordplay; rupia means scabs and paiseita abscesses, hihhih. We'll try to write every week, but let's see..

Wappu

Wappu a.k.a. May Day is a national holiday also in India. Unfortunately this year it didn't mean an extra day off for Toni... :/ As there has been a couple of bomb blasts in India, a smaller one also in Bangalore, it is advisable to stay out of bigger crowds, especially on this kind of special days. So, we didn't want to go and find out which kind of carnival is India's Wappu. Instead, Toni made some sugar doughnuts in our "gourmet kitchen" to make us feel home...
