So, we finally got to go to the beach, and it was awesome!! The plane trip lasted 1 h 20 min (500 km south-west from Bangalore), so it was kind of close. The surroundings were like paradise and the weather hot as ever. Our daily routine for the five days was: breakfast, swimming, lying in our fresh room, lunch, lying in our fresh room, dinner, lying in our fresh room and then going to sleep. We just couldn’t do anything else, because in addition to the HOTness is was terribly humid, twice as much as in Bangalore (28 % vs. 61 %). Just one step, no, just standing made us sweat so much that we couldn’t even see properly. But excluding the sweating, it was a greeeat weekend. We had sun, we had hotness, we had the almost private BEACH for us and we had waves like in Senegal. What more could a girl want? :OP
Here’s some pictures for you to get the picture, hehheh. By the way, they say that Kerala (the state where Cherai is located) is "God's own country". And National Geographic Traveller have selected Kerala as one of the 50 destinations of a lifetime and one of the thirteen paradises in the world.
Welcome!
This guy made climbing look too easy. And there were plenty of these palm trees...
Toni taking a nap.
Who would like to go play at the hut up there? Toni did.
The sun is so bright and I'm so hot.
All men were wearing skirts...
Our "home" was second on the right. This is the new side, as they call it.
Fishing boats...
This little thing scared me in our bathroom.
As said earlier, the waves were big. I got in the "washing machine" (the wave ate me), but only one time... :) This is Toni crying for help.
It was a feast day and the local people coloured their faces. As you can also see, the local ladies swim with their clothes on. Tourists (like me) were all in bikinis.
Toni ordered sizzled chicken steak, and as you can see, sizzled it was. He had to leave half of it, because it was actually burnt. But everyone around turned to see this show because it made noise also. Creapy.
The old villas were on water, so ponds everywhere, beautiful... <3
A fisherman at the backwaters. Our resort was located on a narrow strip between the ocean and the backwaters.

The way to the rejuvenating massage...

That was a hot stuff, and I almost cried for mercy. Twice I already thought that she was going to relieve me, but twice I fooled myself. See the boiling water on the left, that's where she got the steam that almost killed and dehydrated me. But gotta keep smiling.
Kochi airport's waiting room (32 km from Cherai). Those couches were comfortable!
